Introduction to Auctionplace
The Ranchbook Auctionplace lists all pages that are marked On Auction. A banner on the listing provides the auction status.
Go to Live Auction
Click this button if you would like to navigate to the Live Auction page where you can bid on this listing and/or view all the specific detail about this listing.
Search
Click the Search Icon if you would like to set up your search settings to filter the listings on your Auctionplace page.
Filter
Click the Filter Icon to toggle use of your search settings on and off.
Sort
Click the Sort drop down to change how the listings are sorted.
Category
Click the Category you would like to display. The default is Livestock and will be highlighted in black.
Ellipsis Menu
There are three dots beside each page listing. From this menu you can select the available options for this listing which may include;
1. Reach Me - this option will provide a notification to the listing owner that you would like to be contacted and provides them your contact information.
2. Text - this option will start a text message to the seller.
3. Call - this option will start a phone call to the seller.
4. Email - this option will start an email to the seller.
5. Add to Library - this option will add this listing to your Library
6. Report - choose this option if you would like to Report this listing as inappropriate for a Ranchbook listing.
Search Options
Clicking on the search icon will open up your search options where you can define your filters. The buttons highlighted in dark represent the options to included in your search.
Clicking a button will show the categories under that specific category which you can include by pressing and holding on the button you want included.
You can choose specific criteria to include under each main Category.
Click Save to save your choices.
Click Revert if you would like to revert back to your last saved choices.
Toggle the Filter icon on the Auctionplace screen to include or exclude your search options.
Live Auction
When you navigate to the Live Auction you can view all the details about a listing and you can bid on a listing. You must be 18 years of age or older to bid on an Auction.
Click Unlock Bidding in order to have the opton to Bid. Your login password will need to be entered in order to unlock bidding for security reasons.
View the Buyers Premium to see any added costs for winning a bid. The fee is typically 1% of the sales price, minimum fee of $1 and maximum fee of $500.
Click the Notes icon on top right to see any special notes about the Auction from the seller.
Scroll down the page to see all the history of the listing including all posts submitted by the seller.
Choose an option from the Ellipsis Menu to contact the seller.
A bid taken within the last 5 minutes of the Auction closing time will automatically extend the auction for 5 minutes.
If the reserve price is not met, they Auction may be automically extended by 30 minutes if the seller set the Auto Extend option in the auction settings to true for this listing.
Each bid is based on the bid increment set for the listing, if you would like to increase your bid continue to bid by the increment until you reach the bid amount you prefer.
Buying and Selling
A sale is a transaction between a buyer and seller for a page listing.
The agreement including price and listing condition is a sole transaction between the buyer and seller. Ranchbook does not guarantee in any way the condition of a listing or the validity of a listing.
It is the reponsibility of the buyer to validate the listed item and contact the listing owner in order to feel confident about the purchase opportunity.
Please report any suspicious activity you uncover about a listing on Ranchbook. Please click the Report option from the Ellipsis Menu.

Auction Setup Services
You can enter a Service Request in the Ranchbook app. Please enter a Service Request as your first option for any type of communication you would like with Ranchbook. A Service Request enables us to accurately track your service and communicate effectively.
To enter a Service Request, click the + icon within the App and Click Service.
