Ranch, Business or Family Profile Setup
When you up sign up for Ranchbook, you will be asked the base questions required to set up a Ranch, Business or Family for your account.
Choosing Your Entity Type
Choose Ranch if you have assets that represent a Ranch. For example if you have a horse, equipment or cattle, choose Ranch. If you live in the country, choose Ranch
Choose Business if you have assets that represent a Business. For example if you sell vehicles choose Business
Choose Family if none of the above meet your requirements. This is a great option if you want to share Recipees or buy/sell items on Marketplace or Auctionplace.
Joining or Creating your Ranch, Business or Family
After you login for the first time, you will have the option to join or create a Ranch
Choose join if a member of your Ranch, Family or Business has already created your entity.
We would like to limit the creation of duplicate entities so please join your Entity if it exists.
To join a Ranch, Family or Business you will need the exact entity name and the join code.
Invitations to your Ranch, Family or Business
When setting up your entity, you will have the option to invite other members of your Ranch, Family or Business
Please invite those members to join your entity at this time.
You can also send an invite from the Menu tab in the Ranchbook app by clicking on the 'Invitations' button and entering your member cell phone numbers.
These options will send the Entity Name and Join Code to these members. Make sure to click the 'Send Join Code' checkbox.
Other Invitations to Join Ranchbook
When setting up your entity, you will get the option to invite other people to Ranchbook
We would appreciate any invitations that you send.
These invitations will not receive your entity and join code.
You can also send an invite from the Menu tab in the Ranchbook app by clicking on the 'Invitations' button and entering your the cell phone numbers. Do not click the 'Send Join Code' for general invitations.
Finishing your Entity Profile Setup
After logging in to Ranchbook, you can continue to fill out all sections of your Entity profile.
Navigate to the Profile tab on the bottom of your screen, 3rd tab from left, then choose 'About' to see your profile information. Choose 'Edit About' to make changes. Remember to click 'Save' at the bottom of your screen after making your changes.
Setting your Public Information
Your Email, Phone, Address, City, State and Zip can be Private. To make them Public click on the check box to the left of each of those fields on the screen.
Use your best judgement to make your personal information Public but if you are selling or auctioning pages, you would typically make your information public. Similar to how you would handle your webpage if you have one for your Ranch or Business.
Entering your Email, Phone, Address, State and Zip
You do not have to make this information public, but in order to bid on auctions these field are required for security reasons.
In other words, please enter valid values for these fields but only check the Public checkbox if you want to share this information with other users.
Ranch or Business Setup Services
You can enter a Service Request in the Ranchbook app. Please enter a Service Request as your first option for any type of communication you would like with Ranchbook. A Service Request enables us to accurately track your service and communicate effectively.
To enter a Service Request, click the + icon within the App and Click Service.
Rancher Map
The Rancher Map allows you to see the locations of the members of your Ranch, Family or Business. You can see your Ranch Map by clicking on the map icon on the right hand corner of the Ranch Profile screen.
By clicking on one of the Rancher locations, you will see the last location detected as well as the previous location.
This data is useful for safely reasons. If you have a rancher out working and they should be moving, you can check if there has been recent movement.
Deleting Your Entity
Navigate to the Profile tab on the bottom of your screen, 3rd tab from left, then choose 'About' to see your profile information. Choose 'Edit About' to make changes. Click 'Delete'.
You will be required to enter your user password in order to delete your entity for security reasons.
If you have recently sold an item, held an auction or have current charges you will not be able to delete your entity for security reasons and to protect the rights of other users.
Changes to this Entity Policy
We may update this Entity Policy periodically. We encourage you to review it regularly for any changes.
